Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed Behavior Specialist Consultant/Mobile Therapist

New Story is currently seeking to fill the position of Full-Time LBS/MT to provide services in the Berwick Area.

This position is involved with providing services within the following roles:
As a Licensed Behavior Specialist, this position serves as a lead member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for the implementation of therapeutic skills acquisition and behavior modification protocols for clients primarily diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The LBSC is responsible for the development of an individualized treatment plan and monitoring progress for assigned clients in partnership with family members, Mobile Therapist and Therapeutic Staff Support. They will provide clinical supervision to Therapeutic Staff Support. The LBSC will be required to work hours that coincide with the client schedules, including day, evening and/or weekend hours.

As a Mobile Therapist, this position serves as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for assisting families to develop coping skills to deal with family stressors related to their child’s diagnosis. This position is responsible for the development of therapeutic family/individual goals and collaborating with the Licensed Behavior Specialist Consultant to assist in the development of a treatment plan. The MT is also responsible for providing clinical supervision to Therapeutic Staff Supports. The MT will be required to work hours that coincide with the client schedules, including day, evening and/or weekend hours.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Licensed Doctoral Level Psychologist; OR
• Licensed Clinical Psychologist; OR
• Other Professional License (LCSW, LSW, LBS, LMFT, LPC)

Work Experience:
Previous experience working with children and families in the implementation of therapeutic skills acquisition and behavior change protocols.

Valid Driver’s License a must.

Therpeutic Staff Support

New Story is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position TSS in our Berwick location.
The TSS is a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the implementation of therapeutic skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocol in the home, community and/or school settings. TSS work 1:1 with assigned clients and documents the client progress in meeting treatment goals. This position is required to work hours that coincide with the client’s schedule, including day, evening and/or weekend hours.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing behavior interventions in the home, community, and/or school settings.
• Adhere to client schedule and deliver appropriate authorized units of service prescribed.
• Documenting treatment data/results.
• Report effectiveness of treatment protocols and treatment difficulties to supervisor and clinician.

Qualifications for the position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field; OR
Bachelor’s Degree in other field and 1 year full-time paid child/adolescent experience; OR
Associate Degree plus 3 years of full-time paid child/adolescent experience OR
60 college credits with 3 years full-time paid child/adolescent experience OR
RN with 1 year full-time paid child/adolescent experience OR
LPN with 3 year’s full-time paid child/adolescent experience.

Mental Health Professional

New Story is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Mental Health Professional to work in our Berwick Family Based Program.

The MHP is the lead member of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for treatment plan development. The MHP serves as team leader providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. This position is required to work hours that coincide with the client schedules, including day, evening and/or weekend hours.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop individualized treatment plans through collaboration with the family and Mental Health Worker.
•Revise and update treatment plans as required for continued authorization of services.
•Serve as lead clinician and provide clinical guidance to Mental Health Worker.
•Provide 24/7 crisis intervention coverage on an on-call rotation with other team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation or any graduate degree in the field of human services; OR
Registered Nurse with 5 years’ experience in the mental health field, + certification by the Dept. of Public Welfare, Office of mental health (OMH) as a mental health family-based worker OR
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, education, pre-med, theology, anthropology or any degree in the field of human services, + certification of Dept. of Public Welfare, OMH, as a mental health family-based worker.
•Minimum of two years’ experience in a CASSP System Program

Assistant Director of Education

New Story is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Director of Education in our Berwick School.

The Assistant Director of Education is responsible for assisting with the overall management of the school program. This position will serve as a peer mentor for new teachers and provide initial and ongoing training to employees. This position will collaborate with clinical staff and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding academic progress.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist with ensuring compliance with Department of Education regulations
• Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process by attending IEP meetings.
• Assist in the development of individualized lesson plans education levels, goals and success criteria for specially designed instruction.
• Administer educational tests utilizing tools as per school protocol.

Minimum Qualification for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree with a Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum of three years full-time special education teaching experience.
• Experience implementing behavior management programs.
• Experience with curriculum development for children with special education needs.
